Miller DuraHoist Confined Space Systems provide safe, lightweight and portable solutions for a variety of confined space applications, including confined space entry, rescue, positioning and personnel/material handling.

The Portable Fall Arrest Post has a 6 ft (1829mm) radius or 12 ft (3658mm) diameter safe working area. A safe working area is having a maximum of three workers within 6 ft of the post within the design parameters. The system was designed with a worst case scenario of two workers falling simultaneously when the structure is already supporting a previously fallen third worker (who may weigh up to 300 lbs). All workers are equipped with a shock absorber of 900 lbs.Maximum Arresting Force (M.A.F). Applying an industry accepted 2:1 design factor to this worst case loading of 2,100 lbs (9.34 kN) or broken down {(900 lbs + 900 lbs + 300 lbs) x 2}, the proof load for the structure amounts to 4,200 lbs (18.7 kN). This design factor is laid out in the OSHA regulations for engineered systems.
