Yes. The GasAlertMax XT II (XT-XWHM-Y-NA) is purpose-built for confined space entry and remote sampling: it monitors the four most common atmospheric hazards — combustible gases (LEL), oxygen (O₂), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon monoxide (CO) — and adds a robust, motorized SmartSample™ pump so you can draw and test air from up to 75 ft (23 m) away before entering a tank, vault or manhole. It combines simple one-button operation, a rechargeable battery good for a full 13-hour shift, and audible (95 dB), visual and vibrating alarms. For confined-space, oil and gas, utility and industrial crews that need pre-entry pump sampling in one compact unit, it's a strong choice, available at Industrial Safety Products with free shipping.
The XT-XWHM-Y-NA detects four gases simultaneously: combustible gases (LEL), oxygen (O₂), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon monoxide (CO). Measuring ranges are LEL 0–100% (1% LEL resolution), O₂ 0–30% by volume (0.1% resolution), H₂S 0–200 ppm (1 ppm resolution) and CO 0–1000 ppm (1 ppm resolution). Real-time gas concentrations are shown continuously on the LCD.
The GasAlertMax XT II has an integrated, motorized SmartSample™ diaphragm pump that continuously draws air across the sensors, so you can remotely sample an atmosphere before entry. It can pull a sample from up to 75 ft (23 m) away using the supplied sampling hose. Honeywell pairs it with "best-in-class" block detection using a semiconductor pressure sensor, which minimizes pump blockages and improves the accuracy of remote sampling results — ideal for confined-space pre-entry checks. If the pump stops or the line is blocked, the detector triggers a dedicated pump alarm.
The GasAlertMax XT II is certified intrinsically safe for explosive atmospheres. Its listed approvals include CSA Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C and D, plus ATEX II 1 G Ex ia IIC T4 and IECEx Ga Ex ia IIC T4. These ratings mean it can be used in Division 1 / Zone 0 areas where flammable gases may be present. It also carries an IP66/67 ingress rating for strong dust and water protection.
The GasAlertMax XT II runs a full 13-hour shift at 32 °F (0 °C) on its rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, and about 8 hours in the cold at -4 °F (-20 °C). It recharges in roughly 6 hours. The detector's rated operating temperature is -4 to 122 °F (-20 to 50 °C), so it's built to last a full workday even in demanding conditions.
The GasAlertMax XT II alerts with a loud 95 dB audible alarm plus bright visual and vibrating alarms, covering Low, High, TWA, STEL, Over-Limit, Low Battery and Pump conditions so workers are warned across the full range of exposure and fault events. IntelliFlash™ gives continuous visual confirmation that the unit is operating and compliant. It also includes standard event logging and datalogging — about 375 hours of data at the default 15-second sampling interval — which can be downloaded for compliance records.
Yes. The GasAlertMax XT II has an IP66/67 ingress rating for strong dust and water resistance, a rugged concussion-proof housing (and available concussion-proof boot), and a stainless-steel alligator clip. It's compact and lightweight — 5.1 x 2.8 x 2.0 in (13.1 x 7.0 x 5.2 cm) and about 11.5 oz (328 g) — and operates from -4 to 122 °F (-20 to 50 °C), making it well suited to tough, wet and dusty industrial environments.
The GasAlertMax XT II is fully compatible with the MicroDock II automated test and calibration system for hands-free bump testing and calibration, and its records can be managed with Honeywell Fleet Manager II software. It performs a full self-test of the sensors, battery, circuit integrity and audible/visual alarms on start-up, and supports simple one-button manual bump testing with the supplied calibration hose. It's also compatible with Honeywell BW™ Connect for real-time monitoring.
The XT-XWHM-Y-NA ships complete and ready to deploy: the detector with the specified LEL/O₂/H₂S/CO sensors and stainless-steel alligator clip in a concussion-proof housing, a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, a charging adaptor, a 3 ft (1 m) calibration hose with quick connect, a 10 ft (3 m) sampling hose with particulate filter and quick connect, a reversible screwdriver, a kit of five spare pump filters, and the manual (plus a multi-language CD manual). An optional BW sampling probe is also available. Note that gas meters are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
Choose the GasAlertMax XT II when you need to sample an atmosphere remotely before entry — for example testing a confined space, tank or manhole from up to 75 ft (23 m) away. Its motorized SmartSample™ pump draws the air to the sensors, which a diffusion (non-pumped) detector like the BW MicroClip cannot do; diffusion units only read the air immediately around them. Both share the same four gases (LEL, O₂, H₂S, CO) and one-button simplicity, but the pump makes the Max XT II the right pick for confined-space pre-entry testing. Pick a diffusion monitor if you only need personal, on-body monitoring.
The BW Technologies XT-XWHM-Y-NA GasAlertMax XT II (Yellow, LEL/O₂/H₂S/CO with pump) is available at Industrial Safety Products (industrialsafetyproducts.com) with free shipping. It is backed by a full two-year warranty that includes all sensors, and it ships complete with the pump sampling and calibration hoses, spare pump filters, charger and accessories needed to start monitoring. Note that gas meters are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
