The BW BWC2-X has an oxygen measuring range of 0–25% by volume. Its default alarm setpoints are 19.5% vol for the low (oxygen-deficiency) alarm and 23.5% vol for the high (oxygen-enrichment) alarm. When oxygen crosses either setpoint it triggers a 95 dB audible alarm plus a wide-angle visual flash and a vibrating alert simultaneously. Setpoints and other parameters can be configured using an IntelliDoX docking station.
Yes. The BW BWC2-X is a two-directional oxygen monitor: it has both an under-limit (low) alarm at a default 19.5% vol to warn of oxygen deficiency, and an over-limit (high) alarm at a default 23.5% vol to warn of oxygen enrichment. Oxygen deficiency (below ~19.5%) risks asphyxiation in confined spaces, while enrichment (above ~23.5%) increases fire and combustion hazards — so a proper O2 monitor must alert on both. The BWC2-X does this with a 95 dB audible alarm, visual flash, and vibration.
